I like the word 'field'. I can't particularly explain why. In my travails with watercolour this actual field became the artistic ground for greater dry brush work. The result is mixed. I'm still too beholden to the view and that, I reckon, has much to do with my novice-like status working with the medium.

NOTES: I would make the tree line on the horizon blue/indigo reducing the underlay of gamboge. I reckon it would also help its relationship to the sky. Also, the path to the left is tonally okay but strikes a colouristic 'bum note'!
