Colour and Form
Bath–The city of my sojourning. Some like it, some don't, but whatever it provides many locations for painting. I will say more later. For now a picture painted of Widcombe lock. Looking at it, and other recent work, this quote comes to mind and captures part of my painterly journey. 'There’s a trade-off between using too much form or colour,' says Julian Bailey, a painter. 'Too much colour and it becomes too decorative. Too much form and it seems to be too sculptural. So there’s that balance I’m always trying to achieve.'
